Technology Lending Program grows

The latest additions to the Athenaeum’s Technology Lending Program (TLP) are two TI-84 Plus graphing calculators, which can be borrowed for two hours of in library use. A graphing calculator is essentially a handheld computer that can plot graphs, solve simultaneous equations, and perform other tasks with mathematical variables. Students in advanced level high school or college math classes often require intermittent access to a graphing calculator, which can cost $140-$150.

Other recent additions to the TLP include production-oriented equipment that can be borrowed for off site use: a Blue Yeti USB Microphone and pop filter, a Bosebuild Bluetooth Speaker Cube, and a green screen

Continuing popular TLP items available for take-home are Sprint ZTE Warp Connect hotspots, which provide borrowing patrons to access the internet from up to 10 devices per hotspot.

These devices are made available through the generosity of the Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum. Interested in borrowing or learning more? Stop at the Reference Desk during regular library hours or contact us at info@pittsfieldlibrary.org.
