Boots to Business Brochure

The Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield’s Public Library, in cooperation with the US Small Business Administration (SBA) is hosting Boots to Business Reboot on Wednesday, September 20, 9:30 am – 4 pm. The daylong entrepreneurship training program is intended for veterans and their spouses.

Boots to Business is a two step program offered  as a training track within the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP). This course is open to Service members (including members of the National Guard and Reserves) and their spouses. The curriculum provides assistance to those interested in exploring business ownership or other self-employment opportunities by leading them through the key steps for evaluating business concepts and providing foundational knowledge required to develop a business plan. In addition, participants are introduced to SBA resources available to access start-up capital, technical assistance and contracting opportunities.

Space is limited. Reservations are required and can be made before September 12 at https://sbavets.force.com/s/ For more information, contact Oreste Varela at (413) 785-0484 ororeste.varela@sba.gov
