The Athenaeum’s Local History Department announces a workshop intended for those who are interested in the familysearch.org website and how to navigate it for doing family history. The training is offered in two morning sessions, 10 am – 12 noon on Tuesday, February 18 (for beginning researchers) and Wednesday, February 19, (for intermediate researchers). Patrons are invited to register for either  or both sessions.

Attendees may bring their own laptop or use a library device. The workshop is free of charge and open to the public. However space is limited and registration is required. To register call the Local History Dept. at 413-499-9480 ext. 6

There are no prerequisites for this class; however registrants are asked to create a Family Search account prior to the class to facilitate the learning process: visit the website familysearch.org and click on “sign on” to create an account.

Co-sponsored by the Local History Department of the Athenaeum and the Berkshire Family History Association.
