Food Zone: A success!

FZE imageMaybe you knew that the Athenaeum hosted a Food Zone Experiment in November and December, allowing library patrons to have food and drink in our Blake Reading Room, on the library’s Main Floor. We also asked patrons for feedback on whether they would like us to make this a permanent change.

Patrons were extremely supportive (by a five to one margin!) of the concept. Going forward we will continue allowing refreshments in the Blake Room until a more permanent solution is found. To that end, Athenaeum Trustees have authorized the use of an architect or interior designer to create a permanent space.

Thank you to those who gave us meaningful feedback. We hope to see you – with your coffee 🙂 – in the library soon!
