Genealogy Workshop with Alan Horbal offered in January

genealogy_treeWe are pleased to  welcome back genealogist Alan Horbal to offer  a 4 week genealogy workshop: Finding Your Ancestors: Using the 1900 through 1940 census, along with other helpful immigration websites.  These classes  are free of charge and open to the public.  The series is offered on 4  consecutive Tuesdays in January:  January 7, 14, 21 and 28.  Registrants may choose between a morning session, offered  from 10-11:30 and one offered in the afternoon, 1-2:30.

We encourage bringing your own laptop.  For those who do not own a laptop, the library will provide one for in-house use.  Prerequisites:  Internet proficiency and an established email address.

Due to the popularity of these workshops, we request interested individuals  commit to the full 4 weeks before registering. Space is limited. Preregistration is required and can be made by contacting  the Local History Department  at 413-499-9480 ext. 6.
