Genealogy Workshop offered in October

genealogy_treeWe are pleased to announce a new Genealogy Workshop.  Searching for Immigrant Ancestors and their Vital Records will be taught by the knowledgeable team of Angela Rifkin and Jan Rogge. This workshop is intended for those who are interested in the process of locating their relatives through immigration records or vital records.

The two- part series will be offered as a morning session (10 am – 12 pm) and an afternoon session (1 pm – 3 pm) on consecutive Thursdays, October 24 & October 31.

Participants are free to bring their own laptop or use one provided by the library. There are no prerequisites; however it is preferred that registrants be computer literate and have an email account. The workshop is free and open to the public;  registration is required and can be made by contacting the Local History Department at (413) 499-9480 ext 6. Space is limited and sessions fill quickly; early registration is encouraged.
