Genealogist Alan Horbal to lead class

genealogy_treeThe Berkshire Athenaeum welcomes back genealogist Alan Horbal who will be leading a 4-week  genealogy workshop on finding your ancestors using the 1900 through 1940 census, along with other helpful immigration websites.  Classes are offered as a 4-part series, scheduled for  4 consecutive Tuesdays in September, starting September 17 and continuing on September 24, October 1 and October 15, with a morning (10-11:30) and afternoon (1 – 2:30) session offered each day. Interested individuals who can commit to the full 4-part workshop should register for either the morning or afternoon sessions.
We encourage bringing your own laptop.  If you do not have a laptop, the library will provide one for in-house use.  Prerequisites:  Internet proficiency and an established email address.

This workshop is  sponsored by the Local History Department of the Athenaeum and the Berkshire Family History Association. The workshop is free and open to the public. Space is limited and preregistration is required.   To register call the Local History Department  at 413-499-9480 ext. 6 during regular library hours.
