In January the Berkshire Athenaeum welcomes back genealogist Alan Horbal. Horbal will offer a four-week workshop on finding your ancestors using the 1900 through 1940 census along with other helpful immigration websites. Classes offered on 4 consecutive Tuesdays: January 8, 15, 22 and 29 . Two sessions offered: 10-11:30 am and 1-2:30 pm. Prerequisites: Internet proficiency and an established email address.
Also offered in January is a Beginning Genealogy workshop taught by Jan Rogge & Angela Rifkin. Intended for those with little or no knowledge of genealogy who would like to begin doing their family history, this two-part series is scheduled for Thursday, January 10, and Thursday, January 17, with two sessions offered: 10 am -12 noon and 1 – 3 pm. No Prerequisites.
Both workshops are free and open to the public. Space is limited. Registration required and only available to those who can commit to a full series.
