Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum support Festival of Trees

Again this year the Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum, an all-volunteer organization, supports the Berkshire Museum’s Festival of Trees with a specially decorated tree. The Athenaeum tree is an homage to John Lennon’s Imagine, A Celebration of Tolerance & Diversity.

Images of families adorn the tree, accompanied by phrases from the  lyrics  of the late song-writer’s signature work.

Silver stars and white doves echo the theme of hope for worldwide peace.

Our thanks to the Friends for making possible this lovely tree, with its seasonally appropriate sentiments. “No need for greed or hunger; a brotherhood of Man.”  Happy Holidays to all!
