Time Travel: Tonight at 7 pm: Join us!

Travel back in time to 1862 as the Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum participate in Call Me Melville with music, poetry and history:  Folk trio Wintergreen plays Songs from the Civil War and Underground Railroad. Bernard Drew recounts the history of the Massachusetts 49th – the All Berkshire Regiment. Herman Melville’s poem “The College Colonel” is read by Athenaeum Librarian Alex Reczkowski.

Free and Open to the public.

Wintergreen’s performance is made possible by a Pittsfield Cultural Council Grant, funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and by the Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum.
