The Athenaeum’s Local History Department is pleased to announce that Alan Doyle Horbal, Genealogist, will be presenting a 4-week basic genealogy workshop on finding your ancestors using the 1900 through 1930 United States Census. Horbal will demonstrate using various websites to locate immigration information. These websites will include stevemorse.org, ellisisland.org, castlegarden.org and familysearch.org.
The Workshop runs on four consecutive Thursdays: July 12, 19, 26 and August 2 in the Athenaeum Computer Lab. Interested patrons may choose the morning session (10 – 11:30 am) or afternoon session (1 – 2:30 pm).
Prerequisites: Internet proficiency and an established email address are required. The workshop is free and open to the public; however space is limited to 12 participants per session and registration is required.
