Saturday, April 2, 1 – 4 pm: Make your own book & Tell your own tale!

Visual StoryTelling Books: Collage * Accordion Fold * Easy Pamphlet Stitch: Make your own book and tell your own tale in this exciting, hands-on workshop. Artist and IS183 faculty member Karen Arp-Sandel guides participants in the process of visual storytelling through the making of simple book forms and Collage techniques for expressing a story (narrative) or idea (concept) with images. Participants will learn to make an “ Accordion Fold Book” (no binding) and/or a simple small “Pamphlet Stitch” book (basic binding). Participants will learn to use Collage techniques and mixed media materials for visual story telling.
Suitable for beginners as well as those with more experience, this experiential workshop will jump start your creativity and enliven your imagination. All materials provided.
This free workshop is for Adults and Children age 12 or older. What a great Saturday afternoon diversion with the teen or tween in your life!
