Tonight at 6 PM: Cinema of Law screens Scottsboro

Cinema of Law returns for a Fifth season! Tonight’s film, Scottsboro (2000), is introduced by Judy Knight, Esq.

Scottsboro is a documentary about “the case that sparked the civil rights movement”, the story of nine black teenagers accused of raping two white women on a train in 1931.

Program free and open to the public. Popcorn served!

Sponsored by the Berkshire Law Library, the Berkshire Bar Association and the Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum, each evening of this four-part series features a well-known film with a plot that involves a legal subject, introduced by a member of the Berkshire Bar Association. Join us for all four nights or just come for your favorite.
