Berkshire Athenaeum researcher Emilie Piper co-author of Freeman biography

As reported in the current edition of Berkshires Week, Athenaeum Local History researcher Emilie S Piper has co- authored a biography of Elizabeth Freeman. Published by the Upper Housatonic Valley Heritage Trail, the book is titled, One Minute a Free Woman — Elizabeth Freeman and the Struggle for Freedom. Piper and her co-author, David Levinson, will speak about their work and sign copies of the book this Sunday, June 27, at the Stockbridge Public Library.
